I eat either a roasted chicken breast and grilled vegetables at the local gourmet market en route to the poker room or a Lara Bar and a banana that I bring with me to Starbucks. And I'm still fat. I'm still fat. I don't get it.

45 minutes of cardio 3 times a week will help with that

Yeah, I've been trying to get on the treadmill regularly and what happens? I've come down with a disk problem (probably sciatica) and have to go to a specialist.

But to continue with my point which was semi-serious:

People have remarked on what I order at the casino: Egg whites and steamed broccoli, fish and vegetables, salad with chicken. I'm pretty careful of what I eat almost always and I really ought to be losing weight but its not working.

Astro,

Where can I buy that. It looks beyond delicious.

Howard,

I'd guess that your metabolism is just slowing down. Exercise will burn off calories and, at least in my case, help speed up your metabolism (I'm 40 with a tricky lower back/hip). I stay away from the treadmill and stick to the elliptical machines. Talk to your doc. The elliptical is low impact so maybe your back will tolerate it. Good luck.
