MP's line is super weird. What leads the flop, then check checks the turn and river?

Uhm, a backdoored flush comes to mind.

I think i call here because villains line is so goofy for a made hand.

So, if we had let's say JT, you call as well, right?

Why would he lead flop and check turn? Maybe something like ATh or JTh, but why check the river? You've shown no strength at all during the hand, so why would he think you'd bet the river when he hits his gin card.

blech its pretty gross spot. 17/12s are just so bad though, if they use this line with 444, 333, 222 on turn going for cr all in, they may just do it on river as well. They 100% disregard bd flush and the straight when they have a set makes it pretty much impossible to fold.

I like a call here on the river. I feel like you've shown him you're pretty weak on the turn by checking behind - it's entirely possible he was looking for a checkraise on that street with an already made hand, or with a bluff. If he was somehow on a backdoor flush draw, I can't help but feel that he would have continued to bet; what hand bets the flop and checks the turn that has you beat on the river? The only reasonable holding I can think of is TTT, but 222 and 333 play the same. I guess AT and overpairs are possible too, and you have those crushed. I don't see A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] or A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] as a big part of Villain's range with this line. The river just looks like it could be a bluff a large portion of the time (since you appear to just be stabbing at the pot), and I can't help but feel that most Villains will bet their backdoored flush for value after you've checked behind on the turn, not check again hoping you'll stab at it and push hoping you're curious enough to look them up with top pair. Your hand is very strong and very well-disguised, and I think this is worth calling.

i fold river, too many draws and the river completed some of them imo...

i suppose though a smaller set is possible and he was going to c/r u on the turn...

If he had an obnoxious nickname I'd probably call him
