I heard it was a pretty terrible epithet or baiting comment of some sort but never heard what it actually was. I was guessing he called him "gay" and that Alomar loves pole but it's just a guess.

Hearing all the commentary and watching the vid makes me lol - who gets hurt arguing with a ref? - but its still kind of sad. The 1B standing right there can't hide behind being scared if there was a legit reason for MB to be pissed. If the ref was out of line, he should say so. If the ref wasn't out of line, he should say so. If he can't decide, he should say so.

I guess its easier said than done, but it really seems like hearing an official call a player a [censored] or darky or whatever but not saying anything about it is about as bad as saying it yourself.
