Why are the Prescott Bush threads in Politics all locked?
It's an interesting story and true, so I don't get why they're all instalocked. The history of one of America's most powerful families certainly seems important to me.
Sorry if this is in the wrong place, I've never been bothered by a thread locking before.

There were a couple other nitty issues with that thread, but the main one is that those kinds of threads are designed to smear the current President with rumors about what his grandfather might have done. It is utterly retarded to suggest that this has anything to do with the modern world but it leads to retarded threads (LOL Bush is a Nazi). I created that rule because that type of thread makes me angry. [ QUOTE ] 3. New threads must have some relevance to larger society. You don't think our current President's Grandfather being a Nazi financier is relevant to larger society/isnt relevant to the modern world? I'm afraid I don't understand.

The George Bushes were barely mentioned in the thread. There were a few references to the Bush family, but primarily it wasn't about the current President. This is still American history. (And politics!)
