thanks for the link dire.. I think I'll still go with 1080p. With the way technology changes, I might as well try to stay ahead of the curve. And even moreso, these sets will be obsolete in 4 months anyways lol

I'll probably go ahead and buy a TV along with the 360 HD-DVD player and get 5 free worthless movies to boot..

go to bestbuy and I think it's 7 free worthless movies (add King Kong and 300 to the other 5)

Is this considered a 1080p TV? It says it is compatible with 1080p but it seems a bit inexpensive compared to others.

No, it only means it accepts a 1080p signal (and downscales it). A 1080p tv has a resolution of 1920 x 1080.

I pulled the trigger and bought the 1080p 50" Panny. I was going to buy the Samsung, IMO, the picture quality of the sets are about the same, but they were out of stock. Aesthetically, the Sammy was a tad bit nicer looking, but I'm pretty happy with the panasonic. I got a stand along with it and the salesman was nice enough to throw in a free HDMI cable lol.

$2,500 at Video Only. They're only in Wa, Or, and Northern CA I believe.

The only thing that disapoints me so far is the Fox Sports Network is not in HD and I can't watch the Mariners in HD

2500??? Why does that sound like a rip off. I stay seeing 42" Pannys for 1000, i find it hard to believe 8 more inches makes it that much more. Perhaps i am wrong.
