Default What is the difference between PC2 4200 and PC 4200 RAM

What is the difference and are they interchangeable? My Compaq Presario desktop has PC2 4200 RAM installed and I want to add a gig. I would save $75 if I can use the PC 4200 over the PC2 4200.

PC2 is for DDR2 machines. Kinda like the difference between a 1.5GHz P-III and a 1.5GHz P4. DDR2 is the next generation of performance from DDR.
