Re: Are the current sites against poker \'legalization\' in the US?
I was thinking about this - it does make a certain sense to reason that those who currently profit from providing a form of entertainment which is frowned upon by society would have an interest in maintaining the status quo, for a number of reasons. However, don't forget that those who run the sites are people, too, and would also benefit from a legalized environment, to the extent that they can market their own professional expertise to legit sites in a post-legalized world.

Re: Are the current sites against poker \'legalization\' in the US?
I think when poker is ruled a game of skill and the market opens up to US companies, Stars, FullTilt and Party will be bought out by large American companies. Harrah’s and MGM had to learn a lesson with the unsuccessful launches of online gaming sites, and would most likely, look for a established existing platform to buy and co-brand .

I'm pretty sure you're right. Didn't think about that angle. |
