After button calls on the turn ahead of you, I usually muck.

Almost definitely muck on the river without a read.

Calling the flop is fine.

You can let these go on the turn; MP has at least a set.

If you're calling the turn, I don't know why you'd muck the river; it's doubtful the 8 improved villian (unless it gave him the 6-card straight ).

I think the best line is to call teh flop minraise and lead the turn. It does a great job of forcing your opponent to define his hand. I'd probably fold if he comes back over the top.

As played that's a nasty river situation, but I can probably find a fold. Villain's line looks an awful lot like 67 to me.

FWIW, The button calling is why I called the turn...I had him firmly on a FD a was getting about 4 to 1 odds to call..I was then hoping for a free or cheap SD to obtain a good read on villian..IMO min. raises are very telling to those players that make them..

67 is a hand I never thought of a definate strong possibility..Do you think many villians make this turn bet with 67..His river bet made me think squarly 77(perhaps too narrow) as I doubt he would lead with a set into two players that are playings there hands like draws..
