Obviously I am biased but Nashville is great. TN is consistently one of the cheapest places to live, but there's tons of money from the music biz, giving it a decent big-city flavor. The tons of small dives around town are great for atmosphere, and the level of talent means that you'll see awesome live acts even in places that only fit 20 people.

I don't really like people, so Nashville is great for me because it combines that smaller city feeling with a lot of the amenities of a bigger city, all rolled up with super cheap living expenses.

Do you want to play live games or just play online? There aren't so many places to suggest if you must play live.

General cost of living in Nashville is low, but real estate is not cheap. People move there from Atlanta, etc and are shocked that they get less house for the money than they do back home.

Prices are not close to California ones, but they're a lot higher than Indiana.
