i took steelers -16(-105) on sports book, as stated above their defense allows 11 points per game at home, they are coming off of a loss against the jets on thanksgiving and since ronnie browns injury the fins are only averaging 9 points per game, you cant say that steelers wont be looking to rebound with a big win on monday night..

extra motivation as well for PIT to really get their act together after some recent struggles. Ben seems to respond to that.

But I also think there is value on MIA +16. They aren't as bad as the public perceives them to be.
PIT is only SOMETIMES as good as the public perceives them to be.

Extra motivation for Dolphins not to go 0-16. Ship.

I think this game is going to be relatively low scoring. Pitt struggled mightily against a terrible Jets defense last week. I'm considering dropping a unit on the under, especially with Holmes out, and Miami showing no semblance of an offense in the last couple of weeks. Miami's defense has actually been better as of late, and I expect Pitt to spend most of the game running the ball, especially if they get an early lead.

Got a unit down on U39 when I saw the total was 38 elsewhere.

Took MIA +22.5/U46. Risking 1.1u to win 1u. I agree with Kyro in that Miami is not as bad as the public thinks and Pit is way overrated imo. I see this being an ugly, low-scoring affair.

It was discussed in the other thread that teasing from a high number to an even higher number is really bad.

Good point. If/when PIT gets early lead I can definitely see this happening.

While watching the game last week, I am not convinced Parker is 100%. He went down very easy the entire game. Davenport got more carries than normal in a close game. He usually only gets 3rd downs and mop up duties. I think the knee is bothering Parker. He had problems with it all pre-season. Anyway, this caused Pittsburgh to be in 3rd and long all last week and the Jets took advantage and brought pressure.

If I am indeed right, I really wish they would sit Parker and let Davenport play.

That said, the line points to a 27-10 Pitt victory tonight. I see that as being pretty close.
