Re: Dissolving your Fantasy Team when it\'s Bad
[ QUOTE ]
I dunno, this seems perfectly fair to me, and if you don't like it, you shouldn't join a league that is set up like this to begin with. [/ QUOTE ] 6/8 people have voted, 4 to 2 in favor. The more I am on the phone wheeling and dealing and creating bidding wars, the more I love it. And to think, in the 3rd and 4th round I'll have 3 picks each, Antonio Gates will be sitting there, and I'll be like I got my RB in 1, QB in 2, RB and WR in 3, TE w/ 1st pick in 4 and WR again? Why not.. Edit: Doesn't include the 42 bucks I've recouped this season either, transaction fees + some of my original buy in. I'm starting to like this? Why not make it more like pro sports? Bad teams sell players late in the season |

If its legal to trade guys for picks and/or cash than you have every right to do so.
The only real downside is when the other owners realize how good your team will be and decide to change the rules next year. |

Re: Dissolving your Fantasy Team when it\'s Bad
how can 3-5 be last place... and if it is that means there should be a lot of teams with 4 or 5 wins

Re: Dissolving your Fantasy Team when it\'s Bad
Trading picks and stuff like that is fine, especially if you are in a keeper or dynasty league.
I don't like involving $$$ exchanging hands. Maybe he could offer to cover your next 4-5 transactions so at least its making its way back into the pot or something. I could see situations like "well its just $20, I want to beat these guys pretty bad whatever it takes" or stupid crap like that. By the way, maybe you are in an 8-team league or something where everyone's team is loaded, but why are you hitting the panic button? Especially at 3-5? |

Re: Dissolving your Fantasy Team when it\'s Bad
I'm in a 10 team league, and I'm hitting the panic button because I'm last in points, power rankings, and several other factors and it's pretty clear I'm not going to win in a winner take all league.

Re: Dissolving your Fantasy Team when it\'s Bad
If this is a yearly league, I would have no problem trading picks as it helps you next year, but I've never seen the money thing. Again, if this were somehow going to the prize pool it would be fine, but you're basically marginally helping yourself next year and otherwise tanking, which I don't like
