Is it too late to ask?

So me and my girl have been going out about 2 months now. We've been having sex since the first date. The first time we were going to do it, I asked if I should get a condom, and she said ok, but I didnt fit so we ended up not doing it. After that, while just trying to get it to fit, we didn't use a condom. And now, every time we have sex we dont use one. I never asked if she was on birth control, and I assumed she would have told me to use one because a college girl doesnt want to get pregnant.

So, my question is, is it too late to ask if she actually IS on birth control, or am I safe to just keep the assumption up?
