[ QUOTE ]
"J.J. knows he made a mistake and regrets it," Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski said in a statement. "He represented the very best in college athletics and exhibited outstanding character at Duke the last four years. He is and will continue to be a credit to the Duke basketball family. As his friend and his coach, he has my total support."

[/ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ]
"J.J. is an outstanding student-athlete of the highest character," his agent, Arn Tellem, said in a statement. "He is (an) exemplary role model and a credit to his family and the entire Duke community. This is nothing more than an isolated incident."

[/ QUOTE ]

What a bunch of aholes. I couldn't say this with a straight face if I were them. Yes the exemplary role model who drinks and drives! I want to be just like JJ when I grow up.

Oh, and a nice add on to the story, he got busted by pulling an illegal u-turn in the middle of the street to avoid a sobriety check point. BAHAHAHAHA!!

I get the rapist (Kobe)

Yeah I remember the part where he went to jail for a couple of years because he was convicted of rape.

Do you remember the part where people can believe what they want even if it's different than what's official?

OJ Simpson served no jail time. However, I still believe he killed people. (I know there was a civil trial too, but you get my point.)

I understand your analogy and I understand why people would think the way they do. But they are very different cases because of the depth of coverage that went into them. Accusing someone of being a rapist or a murderer is very serious. I know people like to make their jokes about it. That is all fine and good for the most part, but after a while I get tired of people being so sure of something they can't really know about.
