Default $22 - 20/40, pot control gone kinda wrong

Hey, I would usually bet the turn against 1 opponent, but since he cold called a bet and raise, I'm not sure what his range is. I checked the turn b/c I'm trying to keep the pot small and my hand isn't that strong. Obviously I don't want to get it all in here. If a brick comes on the riv I still try to value bet it though. I'm not crazy about how I played it. I think betting the turn is close.

I definitely fire the turn and I also make it a little more on the flop. As played I guess the river is a fold but it's annoying.

Bet about 300 on the turn. As played, I probably fold the river. I'm putting him on AJ of clubs, or maybe KJ.

I think this potentially could have been avoided with a bigger bet on the flop. IMHO this is one of the problems with these SNG's at these levels when the blinds are low...when you get a hand that is likely best with few draws there are many callers out there who shouldn't be calling. That is great as far a cEV, but it does kinda make pot control go out the window at times...I think this is one of those times. If I am here I am AT LEAST raising the pot (to t240...call + raise t200). I want this one to end now so that A's and K's don't make my decision difficult. A little small ball early is a pretty good idea as far as I am concerned. Then if he calls / raises, I have a decent idea of where I stand and I have most of my stack left.

BTW, how many hands did it take to stack one of the other players? I noticed that you and UTG+1 probably both did. This would tend to imply a fairly active table...was that the case? If so, I like my TPTK even better, take the pot and run.

Not firing on this turn is a huge leak.

So you presume that there are two J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] in the deck?

But seriously, vers, raise more on the flop and bet the turn - people at 22s are still very dumb, they would gladly call with QTs or some random crap.

I think that AQs is strong enough to raise PF from the button over a CO limper unless u have a read he limps his monsters.

As played Bet bigger on the flop and fire again on the turn.

I think this can go either way we can shoot for pot control or to fire a value bet, I like pot control at this point in the early stages of the SNG, not too many draws our out there..He may have outflopped you, it would have been more of a difficult decision if a 2 came off on river and he fired pot on river. I think we can make an arguement for folding at that point bro.

Flat call flop, fire turn? What if we did this and he fired out o n turn?

vers, i think your flopraise is far to small.
i see your point in controlling the pot, but since we are fivehanded, we have to thin the field.
i'd go for 200-250.

betting the turn is thin, as you said, and NOT a huge leak not to do it - just because we were fivehanded at the flop and TPTK could easily be way behind.
it comes down to a read, if villain was donkish before, i go for 1/2 pot, if not, i prolly check too and fold river.

OT: pocketbear, will you pm me your SN?

Yeah, I like a lot of what I'm reading. When he donk bets I should have raised 5x. Stupid me I was 10 tabling and probably didn't realize he min bet... lol. I do think betting the turn is thin. The situation becomes easier if I raise more on flop so that I can determine his hand more.

I can't remember how I doubled up. I think 77 vs 68 at 20/40, 7637 board. Lol they play badly.

OT: I also want your SN pocketbear.
