Re: $11 A3o in the money
You've already got 3rd locked up and only have 10BB so it's no big loss if you get called and lose. Of course the alternative is to try and wait things out and see if the BB is at all active against the big stack but all that is going to do is get you into 2nd with a 10:1 chip deficit and will probably happen maybe 20-30% of the time.
If you win this one you still have a reasonable chance at 1st. |

Re: $11 A3o in the money
Pushing this is never a big mistake. I think reads on SB are important in deciding what to do.
If SB is tight or passive just push. If SB is aggressive then there is a good chance SB and BB will clash, in this case you should fold and wait for something better. |

no, a lot beats you and anything worse folds [/ QUOTE ] Exactly i was thinking about KQ KJ, with about 5-7x bb from late position when pushing with about 5-6 left...What about in that spot? These lines seem to thin, that it would be better to just fold and wait, the risk here especially 10x bb isn't worth it when called by even KQ KJ or maybe even K10...I think id be pushing here with 5-6x bb and still wouldnt be too happy about my hand. |

Re: $11 A3o in the money
Pushing here is close.
The main criteria are whether SB/BU will atack you next time in the blinds or not (they should, but if they don't do, you could wait another orbit) and how likely it is that SB and BB will go on confrontation in this hand. If nothing above will happen, move in. If not, shoving still seems fine, if it is very likely that something from above will happen, fold. ICM will tell you it's close so or so, so your decision should really depend on the reads about future situations here. If in doubt, shove. If the blinds will rise up soon, be more inclined to shove as it will make a probably won blind steal easier to play. If not, be more inclined to not shove (12BBs aren't easy to play, even 3handed). |
