As to your chat violations, I hope you understand that we do take chat
violations very seriously, especially when it comes to chat at a table
with one of our pros. As you may already expect, our pros are very high
profile on our site so they can be prime targets for harassment and
abusive chat. For this reason, abusive chat at a pro table is often
brought to our attention while other instances may not be. As much as we
do try to maintain a friendly and pleasant site, understandably we
cannot monitor every table at all times, and thus address instances at
pro tables much more frequently.

Moreover, we want all players on our site, including our pros, to play
without feeling harassed or threatened. Full Tilt Poker does not
tolerate any type of abuse or discrimination and while our chat filter
does not necessarily screen out terms and phrases that we deem abusive
and inappropriate, we take all of these infractions seriously.

While we understand that sometimes observers, or "railbirds", think that
discussing hands in play or specific strategies are just "jokes" the
truth is these players in the tournament have a great deal of money at
stake. "Jokes" such as this one can influence play and can cost people,
literally, thousands of dollars. As such, we take these types of
comments very seriously and chat bans are the result.

I would ask you to consider for a moment if you were one of the players
playing. If you had a short stack and medium stack was getting involved
in a lot of pots you would be feeling pretty good about your chances of
advancing up the ladder. Then a railbird makes a "joke" about folding
into a higher position, after which the medium stack doesn't play
another hand.

I am certain you would not see the humor in the "joke" when it was your
money at stake.

While I understand that you may feel that a one month suspension is
silly, I hope you can understand now, using the above example, why it
is necessary.
