Single rebuy tourney

tourneys that only allow 1 rebuy are you supposed to take it right away or wait til you lose your chips?

Always take the rebuy immediately and encourage the other players at your table to do the same. You want as many chips on your table as soon as possible.

took 2nd in the stars 10 1 rebuy 1 addon tonight cuz i suck at poker, take the rebuy immediately and always add-on, i did well in a donkament, i knowz what im talkin about.

I always wait till I lose my chips. I figure if I get stacked either thru bad luck or my own bad play, at least I'll have a 2nd chance.

This really isn't debatable. If you figure to be the best player in the tournament (or one of the best or just +EV) you should always rebuy right away.

Sherman, can you please explain why it is +EV to rebuy/add-on? Yesterday, I played my first live (and very fast) tourney (also with a lot of gamblers with a lot of rebuys) and I was getting the impression that an immediate rebuy was a sensible thing to do here but I couldnt figure the +EV of my total rebuys/add-ons in relation to the final prizes.
