way to play it (and imo the best one) is to bet full pot on the flop, now u can just shove any turn and avoid further headache

i think betting full pot on the flop is a cop out.

if the board were drier, like rainbow or A J 7 or both, i would be very happy with 600. since the board is wet, i tend to bet like 750-800, but it works with my gameplan.

betting more just so you can shove all turns seems like a cop out, i think smaller bet sizing leading to smaller and cheaper double barrels is fine as long as it works with your gameplan- it's not like the board is coming runner runner flush everytime obv, and this bet sizing can very well lead some people to make more mistakes, it's all very player dependant.

Yeah I couldnt just pot this in this spot the way things had been going... too obvious, meta game etc etc.

I wanted to be repopping a lot coming up so I needed a smaller flop C-bet, didnt want to ruin it on this hand.

i think u played it fine. against some ppl i check call river because tehy are stupid and will bluff, some ppl will shove turns if they have AQ or whatever or pair + diamond + gutter, so sometimes uc an check call. barring no reads i would check fold.

Spots like this are why I personally hammer the flop and turn.

Probably missing a fair amount of value in doing so, but I like easier decisions.

Either way, I don't fully hate shoving, but this guy seems interested in his hand, and I don't know if you get anything better than a Jd to fold, ( if even that).
