calll he knows you don't have the ace and is betting most of his range here. And you beat most of his range.

So you call river bet with AK/AQ?

If you do then call with KK because suh a small % of his range is stregthened by that ace, so therefore AK and KK have the almost identical value vs his range.

What hand can villain have that is bluffing? I think it's rare to see a random tournament player smart enough to turn a made hand into a bluff.

[/ QUOTE ]

Really?

From my experience checking an A induces a bluff from almost everyone on the next street. Good and bad. I think even bad players know that they are bluffing when they bet JJ here.

I think players turn 88-QQ into bluffs here all the time

I also think its close to impossible villain has Ax

Calling 3bet OOP: Eliminates all but AQ-AK
Floating flop OOP: Eliminates AQ-AK

Now I may be giving villain too much credit, but I really feel like the average 1kmtt player never has an A here.

He probably flopped the nuts and played it terrible. Either that or he's turning some stupid hand into a bluff. In a big buyin tourney like the $1K I'm generally more inclinded to think people are playing too nitty early on than running huge bluffs. The A really shouldn't be relevant though but I guess there's a chance he made aces up or somrthing stupid. It's probably a fold but this is usually where I tilt call.
