Wookie,

To be honest, those posts of yours made my eyes glaze over and were tl;dr because the content was way over my head.

Well maybe this paves the way for a long in successful career cutting FORTRAN code, and as all the other FORTRAN coders start to retire and die your skills will be in high demand. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

Why isn't TuQ modding the lounge anymore?

What's everyone doing tonight? Anyone cooking? I'm contemplating making some pumpkin bars. They are made with cream cheese and quick cooking oats. Sound good?

ANYTHING pumpkin is good. We have a local brewery who makes a seasonal pumpkin ale, my favorite of all time.
I am prep cooking tonight. and grazing my way through the menu....can you imagine if that raspberry pie was served tomorrow without having been taste tested???
and the cornbread is fine. Sausage OK!
I am waiting for breakfast to make the best home made eggnog of all time. Store bought just doesn't cut it once you have tasted this stuff.

I just finished pre-cooking:

deviled eggs
garlic cheese ball (always have to make a double batch)
cranberry sauce
crustless pumpkin pie (I bought other pies/cheesecake, but wanted one low carb option)

Still have clean up left. Then I get to move all of my business stuff, (papers, computer, etc.) from the kitchen table to my new desk upstairs so we have somewhere to eat tomorrow. [img]/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]

I don't think there is any drama about the demodding of me in this forum. Mat probably thought it would stretch me too thin (although heh, the time I spend on this site I could probably monitor every single OT forum and still have time to kill [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img] ). I am now a mod of Sports, as it is the forum that I probably visit the most. Plus you folks are so incredibly respectful that modding here is virtually nonexistent. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] During my three months here I think I fixed two quote tags and deleted one thread for spam. That's one action per month. I doubt katy, Wookie, and db were much busier.

As for the forum itself, you are all a great bunch and like db I plan to keep contributing, but it's clear that katy and Wookie can manage whatever limited modding is required.

I don't know about this. I'm expecting all hell to break loose here anytime. I hardly ever have to ban any spammers myself. And that one non-spammer I banned...well boy was he pissed! lol! But I'm a little concerned. What happens if Wookie is in his lab and Mat's PETA thread gets out of control? OMG What then?!

Actually, the Heads Up poker forum has no mod that I am aware of, and we do just fine, although emotions get a little out of hand over there.
