Prucha can create, something very few guys on this team can do (Straka, Callahan, and to a small extent Jagr) are the only that come to mind).

Hossa cant do this. Hossa also didn't score anywhere near 30 goals or Prucha's total last year despite having multiple chances being on of all places, the top line. What the hell does it say about a player who needs to be on the top line in order to be productive? That's true of everyone in the damn league. Hossa is a trainwreck.

I have always been very high on Prucha, but he is much better than Hossa. Prucha can always help a line imo, while Hossa getting put on any line causes an instant headache and hoping he just doesn't hurt the team.

Callahan out for 2 weeks with a knee sprain. As if the Rangers didn't have enough problems and injuries.

Here's the deal with the Rangers so far....

At even strength, while they're 5th in the NHL in shots and 17th in shots allowed, they're second to last in shot quality and 25th in shot quality allowed. Their expected even strength goal differential checks in at 26th in the league. Their PP ex.diff. is 10th and their SH is 18th.

Bottom line is that their team defense has been porous and the only thing saving them right now (literally) is Lundqvist's NHL-leading 93% shot-quality-neutral save percentage. Yes the Rangers have high octane firepower, but defense is what turned their franchise around last season.

Here's hoping they don't find it tonight....

I'll keep posting to myself I suppose.

Much needed win tonight against the Lightning. Lundquist is a wall. Only gave up one goal on a BS penalty shot call. Actually scored 3 goals for the first time in recent memory and also hit 4 freakin posts. Had 35 shots and for the first time, a much higher % of the shots were actually good chances instead of weak bombs from the blueline.

With a couple more home games coming up against weak teams, over .500 within the next two weeks is easily possible. Hopefully Avery comes back soon and we gogogogogo. My only worry is that we are gonna have to rest Lundquist eventually.

Game was awesome, except for the play of 3 and 8 which are probably the two worst people on this team. They don't know what to do with the puck when the get it, they like being Jagr's [censored] buddies and just pass back and forth with him, and for the love of atheism please don't make no look passes to the middle of the ice when you couldnt make the same pass when actually looking at the reciever.

Henrik is King and all is good for now.
