Default uhhhhhhhhhhh I just raise folded a boat.

Umm villain is new and.... ....rettarrrddeddd.

The hand before he called a turn bet, which was like 1/4 pot with 85o on a KJ9K board.

..... I'm just gonna let that sink in.

....

A bunch of terrible players limp and we're like 5-7 handed, probably 6 or 7 and I limp Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Because I know I'm going to flop a huge draw and miss.

8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Villain donks OMG one superidiot calls and I RAISE. Villain 3bets, supertard decides maybe peeling with K4 isn't so good and folds his stupid hand. I fourbet and say "There's no cap" and he just calls.

Turn's 7 which is awesome cuz now he bets out again.

River's a 3. The guy looks genuinely confused and says "I still bet." It isn't hollywooding, though he is RETARDED so he might be trying to figure out if he just made a straight.

I raise.

I think that there is a difference in the thought processes between a player calling bets with misplaced optimism and that same player who is now raising and betting. It is quite possible that he might be over-enthused with an OP but I believe that raising this river might be a little optimistic on our part because we will often be 3-bet.

Edit: I didn't pay attention to the title. I think the previous posts have it right.

I witnessed the following hand recently while playing at the 3/6 waiting for my 6/12 seat to open up. The details are sketchy at best, as I was ordering some food during the hand:

mhpp (mentally handicapped poker player) calls, about 15 other people call, and the BB raises. everyone calls.

flop is TTJ. BB bets out, some calls, mhpp raises, some more calls, BB makes it 3, mhpp calls.

turn is TTJJ. waitress leaves so i start paying attention. BB bets again and it folds to mhpp, who calls.

river is TTJJQ. BB bets again, mhpp calls instantly. BB tables AJ. mhpp (who is on my immediate right) shows me his 99 and says "I just had to make sure he wasn't betting Ace high" and throws his hand into the muck, disgusted with his loss and wondering where he went wrong.

Perhaps this belonged in the low content thread, but it seems relevant here. This guy didn't know he played the board at the end. He really thought his 3 pair beat Ace high.

"I limp Q 3 Because I know I'm going to flop a huge draw and miss."

I don't fold vs retards for one bet. Against these people, my lines take me to showdown yo. The exception is when they are passive/nonbluffing retards. If you haven't figured out EXACTLY what kind of retard he is, then don't raise/fold.

Yeah. I don't think the raise fold is bad so much as "wtf is he betting that I can beat after I 4bet the flop" I mean he did show 87 but I just don't see much value in raising.

Folding against retards -- don't do it.

That's my theorom.

Q3s

Villain may be retarded, but there's a difference between calling the turn with air and donk betting the turn into the flop 4-bettor. You still have to call due to pot odds, but when the board double pairs and he keeps betting I'm not raising my bottom full.

Also, I think we can wait for a better hand to take advantage of a bunch of terrible players and retards than Q3s.
