the real problem is that none of the board cards effectively change anything... he'd really have to be calling to reevaluate twice with something marginal to fold the river. i wouldn't be surprised if 88 looks you up here.

I don't know enough about Rand's play or BigEgypt's view of Rands play, but a lot of people have much wider two barreling ranges than three barreling ranges, especially deep. So 88 can be ahead of his two barrelling range, but behind his three barrelling range.

Yeah, I mean, I understand the concept, I just don't think it works in tournaments nearly as often as in cash games

Only played BigE the once but this is not the sort of person you wanna be trying that on. He looks you up lots , 66,77,A3,A4 he might let go, other than that what does he have that you can get to fold

He knows you don`t have a big hand , I think he makes the call with A3

Pretty ballsy. But I think that's a crappy card to do it on. If he has like 77-99, he wont be scared of the T really, and he could put u on missed spades. You probably owned him though.

Why missed spades? That seems like a really weird hand for someone to put the EP raiser on in this spot. Be much more likely to say "overplayed AK" or whatever.

the opponent in question absolutely does not like to fold. maybe you can get him off his whatever with your image but i know i could never really get him to fold anything.
