Default Anyone signed up for Instadebit recently?

I just tried, and got the following message:

[ QUOTE ]

Account registrations and transfers to and from merchants from your country of residence are denied due to U.S. law.

[/ QUOTE ]

I live in Washington State, which may be part of the reason, but I honestly don't know.

Had the following chat with their support immediately afterward:

Thank you for choosing INSTADEBIT, someone will be with you momentarily.
You have been connected to Desire W.
Desire W: Hello, how may I assist you today?
Customer: Hi, I just tried to sign up for a new account. Are you no longer accepting US customers?
Desire W: The legislation has no immediate effect on INSTADEBIT and we continue to provide our services to our customers as normal.
Customer: Why did I receive the following message, then?
Customer: "Account registrations and transfers to and from merchants from your country of residence are denied due to U.S. law."
Desire W: May I have your email address and full name?

I am going to send your information to Security. They will contact you within 1 business day with a response to your concern.
Customer: Thanks.
Desire W: Is there anything else I can do to assist you?
Customer: No, thank you very much.
Thank you for your interest in INSTADEBIT. Please contact us at any time. You may now close this window to end the chat.
Your session has ended. You may now close this window.

Just looking for trip reports of anyone who has had luck with signups there. Am trying to find out which places still work at Absolute, FT, UB (since Stars seems so limited).

I'm guessing this is entirely to do with residing in Washington State.

I couldn't find anything on their site listing states that were prohibited. Sucks if that is the case, though.

Now when you select InstaDebit from the deposit grid at UB you get the following message:

InstaDebit has decided to stop offering their services to customers within the United States. We apologize for the inconvenience and encourage you to use your Visa, MasterCard, or any of our many other payment methods. For any questions, please contact our deposit assistance team at 1.866.605.0311.

Sharon B: The legislation has no immediate effect on INSTADEBIT and we continue to provide our services to our customers as normal.
Customer: ok, because I'm going to email you some documents tomorrow

Thanks for playing at Absolute Poker. As you prepare to hit the tables, we’d like to quickly inform of some changes, for US customer, regarding payment methods.

Recently, a number of payment service providers have decided to stop allowing transactions for US customers with Absolute Poker. It is important to note that this is NOT a problem with Absolute Poker or the service we will continue to provide you as a poker player. Your funds are 100% safe and secure at Absolute Poker and are held separately in a leading European financial institution. Any time you make a deposit, your funds are held specifically for you and are never mixed with operational funds.

Because of the recent exit of these payment providers (Instadebit, Nexus & Central Coin) there may be some temporary inconveniences that we would like to take the opportunity to explain and apologize for. Please read below for the FACTS about payment solutions at Absolute Poker:

InstaDebit:

FACT: As of Thursday, January 18, 2007, InstaDebit has chosen to stop allowing transactions to be deposited from US customers.

FACT: InstaDebit will allow two weeks for Absolute Poker to process withdrawals to customers within the United States.

FACT: InstaDebit’s decision to abandon the U.S. market is also the result of factors related to their internal operations.

Nexum and Central Coin:

FACT: As of Thursday, January 18, 2007, Nexum and Central Coin have chosen to stop processing transactions for US customers.

FACT: Nexum and Central Coin have made this choice as a result of factors relating to their internal operations.

However, life here at AbsolutePoker.com goes on as normal and we are pleased to offer you a 100% reload bonus to a maximum of $500 on your next deposit when using either Visa or MasterCard, using the bonus code RDB1

See you at the tables.

The AbsolutePoker.com Team.
