Default whats the point of the \"sack dance\"? and other ramblings of a madman

why do these guys do these stupid dances after sacking a qb, or dropping a rb in the backfield? wouldnt they be better off saving their energy for the game? it cant be to pump up the crowd, because they do it on the road as well.stupid.

how does TO have the balls to yell at anybody for screwing up when he keeps coming up small on easy plays?

why do these guys do these stupid endzone celebrations after a td? these are grown men acting like idiots.

I hope you're joking. It's really not hard to understand why someone celebrates after doing something positive for their team.

I don't think the energy they expend dancing in any way harms their in-game contributions. They're in great shape and they are not running a marathon: they can afford to do a short dance routine. They're very pumped up, they made a good play, they want to celebrate. I fail to see why this is hard to understand.

Second point: TO. Who cares? He's an idiot. So is the MSM for blanketing him in coverage. "This just in: TO has gone to the bathroom. We think it's #2. Will keep you posted." Thanks guys.

Third: This is a sport people watch for entertainment. It entertains me. If it is creative and good, I laugh. If it is lousy, I laugh. They enjoy it, it works the crowd...good for them.

Grown men acting like idiots would apply to the way some people, particularly coaches, act when they get upset. I understand it is an emotional game and all, but [censored] like throwing a chair across the court or screaming in an official's face, no matter how deserving, is really child-like. It is funny how we give people a pass on this here but nowhere else in life. Also how it can become a "loveable quirk" instead of a disturbingly immature character trait.

this may be difficult for people who sit on their asses trying to 'pwn' each other all day to comprehend, but professional athletes have achieved a level of fitness where they can both walk and chew gum at the same time, among other things

Do you enjoy sports? It is a form of entertainment. They do it both to piss off the opposing team and get their fans pumped up. I loved when TO used to do his little gags. They are funny. If you don't enjoy them, don't watch sports. I like to watch the games but I also like to see what the players are going to do.

If you watched the game last year between the Pats and the Colts. If Marvin made a routine catch would it have been as memorable. Even Marvin spiked the ball, something he NEVER does he was so excited. Things like that are why I like to watch Sports especially if my teams aren't involved (yes I watched the 9er game on the TVUPlayer, BALLA!).

its a form of entertainment for the viewers. but amazingly some viewers, if not most, are entertained by the actual game, not how some guy acts like a jerk after making a fairly routine play. what does pissing off the other team do? make them play harder? thats smart. fans pumped up is moot because they do it on the road as well.

boy its hysterical when his team is getting penalized because hes being an idiot. if your watching football to see low level comedy, congratulations.
