Default Need sombody to talk me in off of the ledge...

99% of the time, I'm a firm believer in you just do NOT bench your stud in favor of a matchup. But this week, the stars have aligned - leaving me with comtemplating the most improbable of moves I could have imagined. My decision is...

Peyton Manning @ Denver or Grossman v. San. Fran.

Scoring is:
5 pts. for 300 yds passing.
0-9 yd TD pass = 6 pts.
10-39 yd. TD pass = 9 pts.
40-69 yd. TD pass = 12 pts
70+ yd. TD pass = 15 pts.

I am honest to God leaning toward Grossman. I'm looking for more of an argument here than - only an idiot benches Manning. I already know this. Give me a well articulated argument for why I shouldn't go with Grossman this week.

Thanks.

I guess I'd be an idiot if I was in your place cause I'd probably play Rex.

If the Arizona - Chicago game never happened, I would play Rexy.

As is, I'm playing Manning. But it's still close. San Fran's defense is just so awful.

Indy was better back then. Denver was worse.

I refuse to let your legitimate point dissuade me from taking advantage of an opportunity to post that stat line.
