Default NL100 flopped set facing scary line by opponent

This hand occurred last night in a home game I play in. Villain is somewhat loose and passive preflop, probably something like 45/15, but fairly aggressive postflop. He is an average player overall. It was agreed on that it would be the last orbit of the night, with the game being four handed. Villains stack is roughly $60, I cover.

UTG folds, Button raises to $3, I call in the SB with 6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Villain raises $4 on top, Button calls, I call

Flop: 10 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

I check, Villain checks, Button checks

Turn: 8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

I check, Villain bets $6, Button calls $6, I raise $10 on top, Villain moves all in for $33, Button folds, Hero...

The line screams set to me. I have only seen Villain make a move kind of similar to this with AK, but not in a pot as large as this.

Insta call and it's not close. You have a set on a relatively safe board.

Why would you check this twice? And why would you raise so little on the turn? As played, I snapcall and fist pump accordingly.

If he turns up 88, TT, or 79, start screaming "LORD I WILL GLOW FIE YO NAME" and boat/quad up.

So you have to call $23 more to win .. $12+18+10+33 = $73.

So if he has a TT or 88 ~75% of the time or more - then folding the correct play.

How often do you think he has a set here? I think it is WAY less than 75% -- its really HARD to flop sets! And its really easy for him to stick money with JJ+/AT/bluffs

33 plays this way as well.. but it's a homegame, and he's a 45/15.. what more information do you need for this to be a call?

I agree with the odds etc. it is most likely a call, but what hand does he usually show up with taking this line?

1)Learn how to bet according to the pot size. This underbetting stuff will get you killed.

2)If you are willing to give a free card on the flop, how on earth could you do anything but raise or push on the turn? Never slowplay unless you know you can afford the free card, and you know that you're about to turn up the volume on the next street.
