A free meal at Delmonicos sounds good to me.

True, the $3 per hour is beyond sweet, but unfortunately, at the present time, Delmonicos does not participate. Though the management said that eventually it will change, at present, poker comps are good at Grand Lux, Noodle Asia, Poker Room dining, food court (next to Grand Hall in lobby), and In Suite dining only. They are actually dealer bonuses. I just typed it as AO.

We (my wife and I) love the Grand Lux (then again, it is hard not to love free food). Since it is Cheesecake Factory, the menu and portions are large, which is cool.

I'm not that big of a Noodle Asia fan, but the wife loves it. Never been to the food court or ordered from the poker menu.

I've got $524 on my comp card right now. Gotta love the V (though I did get beaten up pretty bad in a $30-60 razz game there the other night).

I like the new V $1-3 NL a lot! YMMV.

They are considered add ons, so you are correct. Every place that has a dealer bonus has it listed and is called "staff (or dealer) add on".

Some places just take a % out of the prize pool to guarantee the dealers something. Albeit, the witheld amount or the dealer add on don't amount to much at all. Sometimes as little as 10-20% of what they would make in a cash game.

I'm thinking about staying at the B during my next trip (8/31), but the V sounds like it is better suited to what I play (1-3/2-5 or 6/12-9/18), and the comps sound hella nice. I also want to throw a few tournies in there, and the V also has some nice ones (500-1k tournies are not in the budget yet).

However, I've always wanted to try the B, and their breakfast buffet > all!

Suggestions? Comments? Thanks....

Well, although I am biased, I will give you some random thoughts.

Venetian's standard hotel rooms are the largest in the world (Guinness Book), at 650-700 square feet, all with sunken living rooms, marble foyer, two TVs, dining table, and lots of seating.

The view, of course, is better at B, due to the fountains.

The poker room is a matter of debate. True, the B has a much better assortment of higher limit games, but for the action lower limit action (like you mentioned), the V is a nice fit. there is a reasonable poker room rate at the V, and the comps are killer.

As V does not have a buffet, I would recommend checking out Bellagio one day on your trip, go to the buffet there (which is phenomenal), and look at the poker room there. You will see that it will be VERY busy, but also be VERY cramped, and service, well.....You will see what I mean.

Like I said, I am biased. Either way though, Bellagio and Venetian are both outstanding choices, so you will not be dissapointed either way.
