Free Alternative to McAfee Security System?

So i currently have McAfee Security System on my PC but my subscription is about to run out. Its going to cost me $70 for 1 year or about $ 100 for two. That seems too much to me.

So are there any other FREE alternatives to McAfee? I also have Free AVG 7.5 on my PC but as far as i know AVG does not remove cookies and spyware like McAfee does.

What are some of the free virus/spyware programs some of you guys are using?

I use AVG and Ad-Aware for spyware.
