I was seriously considering adding Wake Forest +17, and I will now with your pick.

[/ QUOTE ]

Not sure how an 18-17-1 record instills a sense of confidence, but good luck to us both...

Wake had a strong rushing defense last year and returned a ton of players on that side of the ball. I know that Wake is untested so far this year, but their rush D has held up very well against their poor competition so far, so I see no reason to think that their rush D is not as good as last year's. Clemson's recent performances are completely attributable to their ability to run the ball at will. Despite considerable talent at RB and O-line, I don't see them doing that against Wake, so I don't see how they will be able to put up a number that covers 17. FWIW, I like the under better than the Wake side.

[ QUOTE ]
Sorry you're keeping Georgia.

[/ QUOTE ]

I might be too; I hate the QB issues and I hate the injury to a very good kicker. But, I've spent a decent amount of time re-reseaching the game, and I just can't bring myself to move off it. I am a sucker for a perceived edge in the ground game, and I think that it's there. UGA rush O > UT rush D and UGA rush D > UT rush O. Add in the fact that I generally feel good when I play a team that nobody else seems to want, but the line isn't moving... I mean, look at how well that worked out for me last week with Arizona St... [ QUOTE ]
Do you like the under for Mizzou/Bufs? I think I do.

[/ QUOTE ]

Mizzou/Bufs was last weekend. This weekend, we have Mizzou/Texas Tech and Baylor/Colorado. I have a slight lean to the over on the first game and a slight lean to the under on the second game, but each of those leans is 100% attributable to my feelings on one team in the match-up; hence, I'll probably play the team totals rather than the game...

yep...I'm loving the individual team totals on games, and I agree with both of those bets

people should really make an effort to watch Chase Daniel and Mizzou...it's one of the best schemes in college football.

Despite your current record, you have won me over during the course of this season. I hope it turns around for you this afternoon (Well marches forward, not sure where turning around from 50% goes )

OK, done a little more research and made a few more plays. I've also decided that I'm sticking with Air Force, UCONN, and UGA (although I am really worried about the loss of their kicker; good news for my under, though...).

New summary:

2 units - Texas -6 -105 vs Oklahoma (now -3.5; yuck)
2 units - Louisville/MTSU u55 -105 (now 52.5)
2 units - Georgia/Tennessee u38 -105
2 units - Temple +24.5 -112 vs Kent St.
2 units - W. Michigan -3 -105 at Ohio (now -4)
2 units - Fla. Int'l +3 -105 at N. Texas (FIU now -3.5)
2 units - Arkansas St. -5 -105 vs La. Monroe
2 units - Wake Forest +17 -114 vs Clemson
2 units - Wake Forest/Clemson u47 -102
2 units - Georgia +2.5 -105 vs Tennessee
2 units - UCONN +7 -105 at USF (now +6.5)
2 units - Air Force -3 -105 vs Navy (now -2.5)
1 unit - Boise St. -34.5 -115 vs La. Tech (Cascade) (now -35)

Adding:

2 units - LSU pk +111 at Florida (just beat the line move this morning; now +105 and dropping)
1 unit - Penn St. -2.5 -110 at Minnesota (Cascade; currently scalpable against Pinny)

I am also considering trying my hand at a couple of team totals.

Baylor u15.5 at Colorado
Mizzou o25.5 at Texas Tech

As always, thoughta are appreciated.

maybe, because I'll probably get a better line on Tennessee if he does play.

[/ QUOTE ]

That's interesting, because I am praying that Joey T doesn't play.

As I alluded in my reply to you about the game, against LSU/Florida, I'll take the less-talented, more experienced player. But, against the Tennessee defense, I'd honestly rather have the talent.

I have no idea how many collective points you were ahead of the field, but a lot of your plays turned into steam plays, almost none of your plays went the other way and you have some amazingawful finishes in games that you pick. I thought you were going to lose Wake Forest just for a moment too.
