I'm in Thailand now and am thinking of staying here for a bit. Anybody want to split a place for $1k-1.5k? I'd rather go down and live on Phuket/Krabbi/Koh Chang but wouldn't mind getting a place in Bangkok.

I'm 21, playing poker, drink too much, etc.

If you are in Thailand, give me a call...my number is 0831794877

The best place to eat an american breakfast that I know is the bakery place in front of the Marriott on sukumvit. They actually can do over easy eggs. Their benedict eggs are also real good, as their hash brown. Well i think i want to go tomorrow now. Not the cheapest place but you really get quality there.

I still haven't booked my ticket for Christmas. Basically I need to get from BKK to New England (any of the three major airports would work). Any suggestions on airlines/routes to do this cheaply? Can you get flights directly to the east coast?

[/ QUOTE ]

You can have cheap or you can have direct. Thai Airways runs one direct flight to JFK per day. 17 hours, $1,300. If you don't mind having 10-12 hours added to your trip, you could probably save a few hundred. I've never bothered to check into it.

I've been told there's dirt cheap Peter Pan bus that runs from NYC to Boston with a stop in Hartford thrown in. Pretty sure it doesn't leave from the airport. Or you can take the Connecticut Limo from JFK to New Haven for $65.

[/ QUOTE ] I'm just going for cheap but the direct flight is tempting. I'm doing a bit of searching now and that might only be marginally more expensive, especially with the holidays. Even if I can get a dirt cheap flight to LA, I still have to get to the east coast.

Yo all!

I'm just back from a funfilled week's stay in Patong hospital.

I have a 2BR flat up on a hill overlooking Patong, Phuket.

Those interested in Staying/moving to PHuket, feel free to drop me a PM with specific questions.

PS The house Link meteron posted is a very decent looking spot BUT it is in a not so nice part of Phuket town.
