[ QUOTE ]
And when I said NL had killed the other games; I meant live. Nobody ever wants to play anything but NLHE where I live, and I hate that game except in tournaments (and even the local tournaments have terrible structures and giant rakes). [/ QUOTE ] Same problem here. Even with home games. It's all NL or SNG's and I don't really like either of them. And Fallsview Casino in Niagara now runs exactly one limit game. And it's 2/5 (what kind of structure is 2/5 for limit, I'm not so sure...). Live limit play has really dried up and it sucks. |

Re: ** Lounge Poker Talk **
tuq,
If you need another in your league, shoot me a PM. I run a work league and am in the BBV4Life league. Of course, if you already have your pigeons lined up just ignore this As for poker, I play mostly NL$100 6-max. I am a nit running at 24/13 and don't care. I play maybe 5-6k hands a month mostly for an hour or two at a time a couple of nights a week. I hit AC a couple of times a year and Vegas annually and play 1/2 or 2/5 live. |

Re: ** Lounge Poker Talk **
well yesterday was a fun day...dropped 10 buy-ins in one session. Hands included flopping top set with KK on a K84 board, seeing the turn and river go A, Ace, and losing to A8.

Re: ** Lounge Poker Talk **
Dude,
Calling a pre-flop raise with terrible cards and calling a bet on the flop when he missed it completely. That's pretty LOL. I hope you took some of the guy's money. |

Re: ** Lounge Poker Talk **
TDA,
That's quite standard play against all but the loosest and most passive opponents. And even against them, I'd consider 3betting the river because of the chance of a janky two pair. If he got that far with J2s, he could have gotten there with 93, 63, K3, or Q3. |

Re: ** Lounge Poker Talk **
Yeah - and sadly he left right after that hand. Oh well. So it goes. I took a long break from limit, and I'm finding it crazier and swingier than ever. I don't know if it's just the low limits or just 6max, and obviously I want to face players like this, but sometimes it just boggles my mind the way these guys play.

What are your thoughts on 3betting any pair pf in 6max against these types of players? |

Re: ** Lounge Poker Talk **
That strongly depends on the positions of both of you and how much this guy raises preflop. My first inclination is that 3betting any PP is a bad idea from most combinations of positions for you two. I'd only really think about it if he was opening from the button and you were in the SB.

If you have an idea of a good 2p2er you want to join us they let me have it. I have IndyMatt as a backup but he says he doesnt really pay attention so i'd rather get a player not a filler, this will give us 10 players I was going to go for 12 but 10 seems fair." I am going to PM him this post link, we could maybe add you, or get three from this forum to take it to twelve. |
