Hand from the Wynn.
Fairly unknown player open raises UTG, all I can really characteriz him as a little loose and possibly bad but I'm not sure. I 3bet 2 seats down with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], others fold and he calls.
Flop: Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] He checks, I bet, he calls. Turn: K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] He checks, I check. River: 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] He checks, I bet, he calls. All comments encouraged. |

Re: Hand from the Wynn.
If you're going to bet the flop, and you should, I don't see why you would slow down on the turn after you've made your hand. No cap PF so he most likely doesn't have a monster pair. Only 2 Q left in the deck, so there are very few hands you aren't beating on the turn.

Re: Hand from the Wynn.
you shoudnt have posted the river, know we all know he had no queen I sometimes use this line, but when you classify him as somewhat loose and possibly bad you just have to bet the turn and call down when raised.

Re: Hand from the Wynn.
no draw to charge so turn check is perfect, river bet is mandatory, however, i would raise river if bet into

Re: Hand from the Wynn.
something i've been doing ALOT OF against certain opponents on a board like this is check the flop and call down UI. given the aggression of alot of today's games it shows a nice profit combining the inducing of bluffs and the times i improve. if bet into sometimes raising the river improved or not.

Re: Hand from the Wynn.
Somebody was drawing to two outs on the turn, so giving a freecard isn't going to hurt/help you. The only question is, did you miss out on value by not betting the turn?
I can see where you might get more curiosity calls on the river, so it probably doesn't make a big difference. |

Re: Hand from the Wynn.
Playing the turn as WA/WB, I like it. Against an unknown I'm sure you didn't want to be CR'd on the turn.
