So weird, I got the same email...

I'm more interested what's going to happen with my buyin through UpperClassPoker...

I reckon the tournament will still get 100 players, so probably 300K+ Euros for first.

In any case, my girl and I have planned an entire vacation around this, so I'm going, but this news does basically suck.

I had just decided today to go to Paris instead of the Bellagio when I received this email.

I would be very surprised if they got 100 runners now. 40-50 would be my guesstimate.

Sucks big time.

i havn't bought my plane tickets yet, or reserved a room. if upperclass poker lets me just get cash, i might change plans to go to turning stone or BC.

France is going through a rough time dealing with legality of poker in that country.

It's online poker that is having a rough time. As far as I know, live poker is ok.

The EPT Deauville was cancelled because of the Pokerstars link, and online sats for the WPT seem to have scuppered this tournament.

Since you are taking your g/friend I thoroughly recommend the dinner/cruise up the Seine in the evening. Nice food, nice wine, nice ambience and scenery.
