Default Short stacking - better for FR or 6-max?

Is the Short Stack Stratagy better for 6-max or better for FR?

I'm thinking that you would have more success with it at 6-max since, with less players delt in, there is less of a chance someone else will have Ax or a pair pre-flop, so your all-in with KQ will be good.

Thoughts?

i would figure FR so you can see more flops for cheaper and you have a better chance of getting called when you have a monster

true

the blinds are the important thing when u SS
so from easy to hard

10h>9h>>6h

i dont say its impossible to SS at 6 max tables , but i think its way harder than on 10max tables

u will have to change your openraising hands a lot if switching from 10h to 6h tables

plus i find it very hard to do proper blinddefense when im SS

I think 6-max would be swingier, but if you hit the right set of hands to use, it could be profitable? It seems like a lot of hard work, with huge swings though.

Off the top of my head, probably:

UTG - UTG+1: AA-88, AK-AJ
CO,Button: 66+,AK-A9, A8s, broadways

All strong raises?

This is a stab in the dark though from someone who's never played 6-max, so improvements welcome.

u can afford to do so at 10/9 max tables
i doubt this is true for 6 max

but i never tried SS on 6 max tables

I've changed my mind. I don't think you can shortstack profitably at 6-max.

i dont know for sure

thing is u have to be quite good at reading ppl when SS at 6 max , if u are so - its most prolly more profitable to play bigstack

Exactly. In fact, Ed has said that is nearly the only expolitable feature of the stratagy.
