the flop looks low, and you check raise. button calls. the turn comes an A, K, Q, J.

check/raise the turn.

And the river... I mean, if he button raised UTG, I might give him credit, but since the button raised on the button I can't give him credit for hitting an A, K, Q, or J, and he will lay down even AA to the trifecta check-raise

Check/raise "pure" bluffing low flops against good, aggressive players is an exercise in futility. You're better off check/raising a flop containing one lone big card. In your example, I'd check the turn hoping for a free card, but if he bet, I'd check/raise him again.

This post reminds me of this one time in AC 20/40 when this guy was up like a ton and kept playing. Like 3 hours later he had 1 rack left and was sweating profusely and started asking me all these questions like "if you have the ace and the nine before the flop would you make the call?"

Those were the good old days.

as long as you're c'ring w/ a wide range there then yes.

i know i c'r tons but dont forget about the value you get from betting out on Q53rb type flops. this includes w/ a 3/5/q etc. at reasonable frequencies.

the combination makes you difficult to play against and you end up getting folds and free cards more than you deserve.
