Default small/med pairs EP 6 handed

With the standard 100 BB effective stacks, what are people doing with these?

I always raise, to try to stack someone in a raised pot. But that does have the drawback of being priced out with a normal sized reraise.

Anyone regularly play this with a limp if most stacks are 100bb.

No open limping in 6max. You may have to fold sometimes PF to a 3bet, but this is offset by having the initiative when you get called and see a flop and can cbet and take it down UI. I think you get more value out of raising and taking it down PF or on the flop UI with a cbet than you lose on the occations you have to fold to 3bet. If you just limp and get called or someone raises you from CO or OTB, then if you don't hit a set, you have to give up. LAGs love raising limpers with ATC, and if you call, you're OOP on the flop, and even though you'll often have the best hand, the LAG will take it down with a cbet you usually can't call, and this is huge -EV for you.

Yeah no limping, gregorio sums it up perfectly.

If you limp/call then you are putting in 5bb and really need to hit a set to win the pot.

If you raise/fold you are putting in 4bb and can win by taking it down preflop, flopping a set or taking it down on the flop with a cbet. Sometimes you will fold to a 3bet preflop but that's just the way it goes. This also hides the strength of your hand so your opponents will not know if you are raising AA or 22.
