Single suited one-capped. Too early in position to limp this? The two limpers in front of me were bad, so I figured I could jump in. SB is bad too.

Flopped trips. I didn't feel too comfortable raising this up from early position on a board with draws that likely make me a dog to win the hand. Correct play or weak?

But raising might have driven out the pocket nines that might be reraising me on the turn.

Fold the turn?

I considered a straight, and it was a guy who was short the full buy-in, usually a sign of bad play, but I think the straight just calls to the river here.

Best I see are trips or a matching hand.
If he has nines or tens in the hole I have 1 out (I think.)

You definitely should play this preflop. You have position on the four players most likely to be in the hand. You don't have to bet the flop, with this many limpers you don't have the best hand all that often. Turn play is good.

why not pot the turn? ur half pot bet might have seemed weak to him. that way, if he reraise u , u don't have to guess.

His opponent is drawing to 6 outs or less if behind, and this is an 8 way limped pot. If you bet small you might get some curious calls from something like the nut straight, no one is raising you with a worse hand unless they are a moron or a maniac.
