Default 2 Hands from Turning Stone $340

Hand 1
5k starting stack, I have about 4800, villain covers
Blinds 50/75
3 limps, folds to villain on the button, an old guy - he had been opening a decent amount of pots but for the most part would be considered a nit - he raises to 250
I'm in the sb with JhJd, I call (?), 3 limpers calls
Flop 834ss, checks to villain who bets 500, I ?

Hand 2

Blinds 50/100, I have about 4400 villain covers
Villain in the hand is an other old guy, very loose, limping into a lot of pots, calling a lot of raises.
Villain limps utg, hero is in MP with KhKc and raises to 400
Button calls, villain calls.
Flop 935hh
Villian thinks for bit, looks like he wants to bet and then checks, hero bets 800, button folds, villain think for a while and raises to 2k
Hero ???

Hand 1: Vomit. I think you have to reraise preflop here because of your horrible position and the small raise. Make it 800 or something.

Once he bets, I guess you can make it 1500 and fold to a shove. If he just calls you have the best hand almost always.

Leading flop and folding to a shove from him but getting it in versus someone old couldn't be bad either I don't think.

Gross spot though.

Hand 2, easy shove.

So are you raising for information or valuebetting?

I do like this line, but it's entirely possible that he has QQ+ and what do we do if he calls, and a Q or T or 9 drops?

Valuebetting. But it turns out if you get reraised you can fold.
