Default KK on an A high board...

Table just formed so I don't have any reads. 5/10 10 handed on UB

Folds to me in the CO and I raise K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], button folds, SB folds, BB calls.

Flop A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
BB checks, I bet, BB calls.

Turn 2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
BB donks, I raise, BB calls.

River 7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
BB checks, I check.

Is the turn raise bad? Is the river check too weak? is this line standard against an unknown? any other comments?

I'd just calldown from the turn and bet if checked to.

What do you expect your turn raise to accomplish? Do you think it's capable of folding an ace? Can you fold to a 3 bet? After this donk you need to call down.

Bad turn raise, call down after being bet into on the turn. Your raise here accomplishes nothing.

I don't know many players who fold an ace in this situation..especially bad players. I think raising could at best accomplish folding a weaker hand. And I don't think you catch him picking up that [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] draw enough to justify throwing that extra BB in...not to mention he's still drawing!

The only circumstance where raising the turn makes sense is when you firmly put villain on two hearts. Unfortunately, our reads are hardly ever that strong. Nor do I think he has two hearts often enough for this play to make sense. A raise will make a worse hand fold and a better hand will still call.

This pot is small and raising feels like overkill.

i don't have a problem with it... gets you out of there for the same amount as calling down turn and riv, but gives you option to push further if you improve...

i obviously fold to a 3-bet here...

pretty standard

I'm happy just calling down here.
