Default Bad Play, Bad Luck, or Both?

These two hands came up half an hour ago. I think I could have played both of them differently. The villian in both is a tightish player who is new to NL and not very good. Bad play here on my part?

(5 Players)

Seat 0 (playing) : Player 0, amount $14.30
Seat 5 (playing) : Dr_Doctr, amount $25

Player 3: Small Blind ($0.10)
Player 4: Big Blind ($0.25)

** Dealing Down Cards **
Dealt to Dr_Doctr: [Qd, Kc]

Dr_Doctr: Call ($0.25) (ignore limp)
Player 0: Call ($0.25)
Player 1: Fold
Player 2: Fold
Player 3: Fold
Player 4: Check ($0)
** Dealing Flop **

Community cards: [Kd, Ts, Qs]

Player 4: Check ($0)
Dr_Doctr: Bet ($1)
Player 0: Raise ($3)
Player 4: Fold
Dr_Doctr: ?

Dr_Doctr: Raise ($6)
Player 0: Raise ($14.05)
Dr_Doctr:?

Dr_Doctr: Call ($8.05)

** Dealing Turn **
Community cards: [Jd]
** Dealing River **
Community cards: [8s]

Summary Dr_Doctr: bet $14.30, won $0, net $-14.30, HoleCards [Qd, Kc]

Hand 2 - Villian has been getting more aggressive since the last hand with me. I think I might have been steaming a little here.

(6 players)

Player 0, amount $30.70
Dr_Doctr, amount $24.55

Player 1: Small Blind ($0.10)
Player 2: Big Blind ($0.25)

** Dealing Down Cards **
Dealt to Dr_Doctr: [Kd, As]

Player 3: Fold
Player 4: Fold
Dr_Doctr: Raise ($1)
Player 0: Call ($1)
Player 1: Fold
Player 2: Fold

** Dealing Flop **
Community cards: [Kc, Td, 6d]

Dr_Doctr: Bet ($2)
Player 0: Raise ($6)
Dr_Doctor: ? - Fold here or re-raise and fold to a push? I think calling was a bad play. At this stage I was thinking he was on a flush draw or maybe a weaker K. Looking back on it I think re-raising and folding to a push might have been the best play.

Dr_Doctr: Call ($4)

** Dealing Turn **
Community cards: [4d]
Dr_Doctr: Check ($0)
Player 0: Check ($0)

At this stage I'm thinking he might be getting clever with a flush. But if he has a set etc. he might be scared of it - and if he was raising with nothing he is going to fold to any bet anyway. So I just check and he checks behind.

** Dealing River **
Community cards: [8d]

This makes me a king-high flush. Good enough to bet for value here?

Dr_Doctr: Bet ($8)
Player 0: Raise ($23.70)
Dr_Doctr:? - Can I fold this? What could he be pushing with here if not the Ad? Easy fold? Anyway I call based on his aggressive play since the last hand.

Dr_Doctr: Call ($9.55)

Results in white

Summary Player 0: bet $30.70, won $53.15, net $22.45, HoleCards [5d, Ad], HiHand [a flush, ace high] [Ad, Td, 8d, 6d, 5d], won $47 from main pot, won $6.15 from side pot #1
Summary Dr_Doctr: bet $24.55, won $0, net $-24.55

1: fine, hes doing this with alot of K's given read
2: I'm re-raising the flop, as played turn check is good and river is fine, odds are too good to fold. Can you put stack sizes up next time please?

Sorry forgot stack sizes - Bloody Wpex - I think I might just start typing out the histories using those icons for the suits etc. - I added them in an edit.

1. I'd say playing the flop slower, just calling the raise and seeing a turn, just becuase while your hand is probably good on the flop, there's alot of potential for it to be bad by the river, so just try and get to a showdown as cheap as possible, or fold against a very strong bet on the flush card, if you think he's tight and not really capable of bluffing

2. I think your oppenent played this terribly with the turn check and just got lucky that you happened to get a king high flush, however i really dont see any hand that he would bluff all-in with on a four diamond board on the river, so i dont really see the merit in calling, or even betting in that instance.

Hand 1, I say a re-raise on the flop is good but if you're gonna raise there's no point [censored] around with a tiny raise, just push or call and CRAI on turn. Still a push is better as there's a lot of cards that kill your action or improve villain, so make him pay now.

Hand 2, I'm pretty sure I 3bet that flop AI too. On the River it's betweena check/call and a bet/fold really. Because of stack sizes I would say check call is the best line here because betting puts most of you're stack in.
