free money on Sarkozy
-200 to win French election next week. Everyone else has him as 5-2 or 3-1 favorite [or more] that I've seen, both prediction markets and political commentators.
$50 max, sadly. |

Re: free money on Sarkozy
It is just me, or does this seem quite wrong morally?
It's one thing to bet on something where nobody betting could have a real impact, but for an election where YOU get to help decide the outcome it seems awfully underhanded. |

Re: free money on Sarkozy
How is it different from betting any other election, or American Idol, or movie lines?
When one person's effect is sufficiently low, moral hazard is a nonissue. |

[/ QUOTE ] There is nothing immoral about gambling. As long as they pay you promptly, and you can pay the rent and feed any kids you may have, it's all good -- well, assuming all actors are of age, I suppose. Woman - 'What are you doing?' WC Fields - 'I'm playing poker, my dear.' Woman, upset - 'Isn't that gambling???' WC Fields, deadpan - 'Not the way I play.' |
