Re: A Golf Brag w/(BV)
Not as often as I'd like. once/wk. Like I said in Present Life Golf Beat, I still am no where near good enough to play professionally. Not even close. I don't shoot good enough consistently enough and I definitely don't practice/play enough.
After leaving college, I kinda figured out what makes my swing tick. I'm somewhat lucky that I can turn up and play after weeks without my game deteriorating much. Moreover, there's no pressure anymore like there used to be so I find it easier to shoot better scores these days. My h'cap is two and a reasonable one. I was just running hot with my iron play. I drive well and putt well. If I miss greens I'm in trouble cause my chipping sucks. I think I only missed 2/3 greens on this occasion and just barely missed them. [ QUOTE ]
Yardage/Slope/Rating of course? [/ QUOTE ] Belfair East Course Bluffton, SC. 6,900/137/73.9 It's a beautiful golf course but I think it plays at least a shot easier than 73.9. It doesn't play particularly long and all par 5s are reachable assuming you've got a 275yd cranked 3-wood in your bag. |

Re: A Golf Brag w/(BV)
P.S. the 10th states over 600yds but:
(1) doesn't play this long (2) is the hole you're least likely to reach and does require the wind in the right direction (3) if you take a really tight line and have the balls to carry the water for the second shot, it can be done. This is where I had my triple bog obv.! |

If you were to play THE JUICE for money, would you accept backers?

Re: A Golf Brag w/(BV)
dcasper - i guess i'd accept backers. i'm sure there would only be about $300 in it so it's not a financial no-no to play the juice.
it just astounds me how he thinks it's impossible for a decent player to have a hot round. unfortunately, i'm from the UK. i was visiting SC as i used to go to an academy there any my ex-gf lives on belfair. |

Re: A Golf Brag w/(BV)
read my poker analogy in BBV4LIFE. I think that sums it all up. It CAN happen. lol.
My dad is a 14 h'capper and he's shot a 75 before. Impossible? Not at all! HE-GOT-IT-GOING one day around his home course. Simple. |
