This is coming up soon. Parents are pretty strict/conservative types so you know how it is. What should I say to convince therapist that there is no problem with me playing poker as I am winning money from it and get a lot out of it mentally. Hope to get a few serious answers...
Anyone been in this spot before? |

are you under 18? if not, just show up at the therapist and talk to him about whatever the hell you want. he isn't allowed to talk to your parents about anything that you say. you're not going to convince the therapist of anything. if he thinks playing poker is wrong, you won't change that.

just talk openly about how you play and why you play
use the chance to talk about things that are bothering you or whatever |

I guess I'll go into a little more detail. I've just started about 2 months ago and haven't played that much. So far I've won $200 from micros (started from NL2) for about 1 hour a day. I only 2-table and I pay a lot of attention to the tables and post hands in uNL, and basically trying to learn whatever I can get my hands on.
Have no clue whether therapist knows about poker. |
