I actually don't mind the low crowd noise volume on the broadcast. Makes it easier to hear the announcers. They should turn it on though when something big happens and have the announcers shut up while they show the crowd.

some of the HR calls and crowd-noise reactions from early in the game were particularly laid-back.
Really mellow HR call and then almost no crowd-noise to follow. It was just weird. It's like the anti-FOX. I do know that if this keeps up I will definitely be setting up my satellite radio inside to have whatever audio they are offering while I watch the games. I don't even care if there's a slight delay between that audio and the TV I'm watching. I just have a hunch I'mn going to enjoy the games better if I do that.
