Default $114 - weird bubble shortiness

PokerStars Tournament, Big Blind is t600 with t50 antes (4 handed) Converter on pregopoker.com

CO (t295)
Hero (t975)
SB (t8390)
BB (t3840)

Preflop: Hero is in Button with 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
CO calls t245 (All-in), Hero?

Don't think reads matter too much here. Hmmmm.

With t975 you need to push. Fold if you have > t985.

I muck. Even if CO wins here he is still forced all in again next hand. Also our hand is worse than a random hand (sb+bb) as well as what should be a better than random hand (CO) Lets just hope SB/BB check it down and you limp into 3rd

I think this is an easy fold. You have zero fold equity with a shove, and like Scotty said CO doesn't have too much hope of outlasting you. You should play for third at this point.

Shillx certainly knows the numbers better than me so getting it in can't be bad. I would have guessed fold. Flip it in if they're suited.

How is this not an instant fold Shillx?

Because everyone will be in the pot and the only way we bubble is if shorty beats EVERYONE.

I think there's one read that matters ...is BB dumb enough to fold?

More seriously though, I would think that this mathematically is probably closer than it seems due to the aspect of actually winning the hand and your $EV. Bah, haven't done this kind of math in soooo long.

First of all, I think calling is better than shoving since it guarantees a 'call' from BB, and SB will have better odds. I'm still not sure if it's correct though. SB could fold if he's bad. If you fold, he has to win 2 all ins in a row, probably against multiple opponents. If you're pretty positive that SB will complete if you call, then calling is probably right.

Yes, I like a call better, it will invite everybody to call.

we are definitely going to call if SB push right?
