Re: Stat question --- Won $ wsf %

[ QUOTE ] Most of the good regs have around 40, only know one guy with 50ish.. [/ QUOTE ] this is completely wrong. most of the best tags have very near 50. [/ QUOTE ] nah only person i've ever seen with a wwsf over 50 is bld on party. average is around 40-42 on ftp. keep in mind you need a few thousand hands for it to be precise enough. mistaking a 40 wwsf for a 46 wwsf can lead to huge misjudgments |

Re: Stat question --- Won $ wsf %
This stat includes unraised pots which makes it a little flawed. Games with fewer unraised pots means you should have a higher W$SF%. I think by default on Party you should have a lower W$SF% than those on FTP/Stars.
Whenever I've played on Stars mine has been > 45. On Party mine is 41-42 ish but seems to be growing the more I play. |

Usually though, the biggest winners tend to have the highest W$SFs, although some people are successful with a low one of under 40. It's pretty rare though. |

Re: Stat question --- Won $ wsf %
112k hands nl10 - nl400: (some fr as well)
vpip 27 w$wsf 43 60k hands nl100 - nl400: (all 6max) vpip 27 w$wsf 46 25k hands nl200 - nl400: (6max) vpip 26 w$wsf 48 i ran hot in the last time though. still kinda trendy. maybe fewer players seeing flops has to do with it. maybe i just got better postflop |

Re: Stat question --- Won $ wsf %
having a high WWSF% isnt always correlated with a bigger winner.
I bet GimmeNutz had a 65% WWSF at 60VPIP but he was awful. Timely aggression is where its at |

Timely aggression is where its at [/ QUOTE ] Kinda funny that you mentioned that. In IRC the other day we were on the topic of Fgators and his low W$SF being the root of his problems. Triumph then compared him to Gimmenutz thinking his W$SF would be low, figuring that if he played a ton of hands preflop and had a W$SF of > 50 he would basically be CTS. Obviously gimmenutz is no CTS, and you're right that timely aggression is where it's at. Typically TAGs who have high W$SF's are great at applying pressure at the right spots and backing off when nessecary. FWIW, Triumph looked Gimmenutz's stats up from old Party and his W$SF was 47. |

Re: Stat question --- Won $ wsf %
W$WSF is also a factor of the games you play in. When you frequently go to the flop with 3 or more people it will generally be lower than when you play more flops HU.
I agree with Cristophers that a combination of high VPIP and high W$WSF is generally a trait of a good player. |
