“I thank God for the love and concern from my daughters,” Hasselhoff said in his statement. “The tape was never meant to become public, but got into the hands of individuals who are not worthy of mentioning, who maliciously released the tape for their own self purpose. I hope that someone else will learn from the tape, as I have.”

On the tape, a girl’s voice is heard saying: “Dad, you need to promise me you’re not gonna get alcohol tonight, OK?

Seems she didnt mean for the tape to get out.

"Simpson's attorney, Yale Galanter, said the incident was about race, and he intended to pursue the matter and possibly go after the restaurant's liquor license."

OJ's attorney plays the race card again. Way to go!

"'He screwed with the wrong guy, he really did,' Galanter said by telephone Tuesday night."

What a terribly inappropriate thing to say.

lol, I have a friend who knows Jeff Ruby. Ruby is a big guy in Cincinnati and has several very successful restaurants here. I was surprised to find out he was the owner who tossed out Simpson. We need to get Wynton in here. Is it illegal to throw someone out of your own restaurant?

Wow, Minnesota county courts are harsh!

Here’s my wtf story of the day. Apparently some county attorney in Minnesota thought it was okay to arrest an 11 yr old and throw him in juvenile detention for the night because he failed to show up in court on a subpoena. My question is, why wouldn’t she just arrest the mom and throw the mom in lockup?

article

"The 11-year-old boy was led from his school in handcuffs, held overnight in a juvenile detention center, and hauled into court in shackles and an orange prison jumpsuit. His crime? Missing a court date to testify as the victim of an assault."

Am I too soft-hearted? This seems wrong to me.

Here's a picture of Jan Kolb

Vegan Couple Sentenced to Life Over Baby's Death

[ QUOTE ]
ATLANTA - A vegan couple were sentenced Wednesday to life in prison for the death of their malnourished 6-week-old baby boy, who was fed a diet largely consisting of soy milk and apple juice.

Superior Court Judge L.A. McConnell imposed the mandatory sentences on Jade Sanders, 27, and Lamont Thomas, 31. Their son, Crown Shakur, weighed just 3 1/2 pounds when he died of starvation on April 25, 2004.

[/ QUOTE ]

How could you not realize your baby needed medicaal attention before they got to 3 1/2 pounds?

They're making an American version of 'The Long Good Friday'

http://www.theregister.co.uk/2007/05...riday_outrage/

IT'S A DIABOLICAL LIBERTY!

As Mr Shand himself might have put it: "What I'm looking for is someone who can contribute to what England has given to the world: culture, sophistication, genius. A little bit more than an 'ot dog, know what I mean?"

Will you Americans stop wrecking great British movies. Italian Job. Get Carter. Wicker Man. WHY????????

You keep this up, you're going back to being a British colony. So unless you want to replace dubya with Queen Elizabeth, quit it please.

And I swear, if I hear of any remakes of Black Narcissus or Lawrence of Arabia, I'm flying to Hollywood and going to the nearest axe store.

Thought you guys might find this amusing.

Anne Heche and her husband are in some kind of bitter custody fight over their son, Homer. He called her a "bad mother" because she left her son in her trailer with nannies and didn't make him anything good for lunch. Now, she is saying that he has it backwards. He's the rotten parent.

[ QUOTE ]
When their son, Homer, stays with Laffoon in Los Angeles, he sends the boy to preschool or leaves him with nannies and babysitters while he "plays ping-pong, backgammon and poker and views pornography online," Heche stated.

"He holds a poker game at his home every Thursday night and allows Homer to participate," Heche contended.

[/ QUOTE ]

lol. I wonder how often poker is used as grounds for custody.
