Re: I have no idea how to play JJ
[ QUOTE ]
You've got to have a read on Villain here; he's raising 8x, which is a heck of a lot. Is that his standard? Is he a maniac? A total nit? Without reads it's crank it or fold with that small stack, and I'm folding more often than not. Nits love to raise big with huge pairs, and your stack is small enough to make this one marginal for set value alone. Reload. Only call if you think he'll stack off every time you hit your set. [/ QUOTE ] This was pretty much my thought process, and I ended up folding, since his previous raises had been standard. |

I'd raise to $4 or $5. If he calls, cbet any flop. [/ QUOTE ] What if he pushes? Fold, right? |

Re: I have no idea how to play JJ
folding to a push from an UTG raise at full ring would definetly not mean you suck. I'd fold too, probably QQ also.

Re: I have no idea how to play JJ
If this is me, I probably call that. If the flop came out favorable and he checked i bet pot size, if he bets out half pot or more, with a favorable board i go allin, with a non favorable board i'd fold to a bet or check it through. If he's the kind of guy to raise 8x preflop UTG, then he should not be the kind of guy to check the flop if he hits or its favorable to him
