Pokerstars - FL Holdem (6-max 12-players)
i have reecently taken a break from pokerstars during my relocation... i have come back to find a new type of tournament. FL HOLDEM ... i do not know what FL stands for. It is a type of limit holdem, but i am running through a bunch of F words in my head and nothing seems to fit.
I do a google search for FL holdem and all that comes up is a bunch of topics with exactly "FL holdem" in it, with no definition. the only article i saw that had FL holdem described was for jail inmates in Florida. This obviously cannot be it. Any help? [edit] = perhaps fixed limit? If that is it, what are the fixed limits for betting? |

Re: Pokerstars - FL Holdem (6-max 12-players)
Yes, it is fixed limit holdem. The fixed amount for betting is one small bet preflop and on the flop, and one big bet on the turn and river.
On a 1$/2$ limit table, it means 1$ bets on the first two rounds, and 2$ bets on the next two rounds. In a tournament the blinds will increase, but the big bet is twice as big as the small bet, so it will be 2$/4$ and 4$/8$ and so on... Hope it helps. |
